The Cessna 150G

We operate two Cessna 150-G airplanes. I can't say enough good things about the Cessna 150. It is an amazingly valuable trainer, from the lessons in flying, to the lessons in budgeting.

You might have heard that the 150 is too small, or underpowered. Well, for certain missions, it is. For the mission of flight training, or time building, it works great.

You can put two 200 pound people in it and fly for 2.5 hours and still have a fuel reserve of 30 minutes.

I routinely load up to max weight and climb to a cruising altitude between 11,000 and 12,500 feet.

I have flown over 4 hours and landed with more than 30 minutes fuel reserve.

I installed a good ADS-B in/out transponder that gives all of that amazing information to keep your flights safe and efficient. If you haven't flown with a live traffic map, you need to. Plus you get live weather updates, including winds aloft to help you choose your cruising altitude.

The Cessna 150 is stable and forgiving.  It is extremely safe.  It is a perfect platform for training, and it is affordable for building time.
